Two waves of similar European origins neared each other in 1980’s America. Dan Friedman and April Greiman are widely considered to be two major contributors to the importation and future success of European New Wave design and typography. Their combined part in this exhibition showcases the similarities and slight differences between their design mentalities and contributions to the New Wave typographic style in the 70s, 80s, and onward.
This project aims to compare and contrast the styles of both April Greiman and Dan Friedman in one book, along with commentary on their design journeys and methods.
